FACT FAITH FEELING FRUIT
1) FACT, n. [L.
factum, from facio, to make or do.]
1. Any thing done, or that comes to pass; an act; a deed; an effect produced or
achieved; an event. Witnesses are introduced into court to prove a fact. Facts
are stubborn things. To deny a fact knowingly is to lie.
2. Reality; truth; as, in fact. So we say, indeed.
Fact - we have a BIBLE that is an ACT from God in away that He spoke this book
and gave us the WORD or SCRIPTURES.
Real words He said in Ezek 2:1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy
feet, and I will speak unto thee.
God said in Psa 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a
furnace of earth, purified seven times. Psa 12:7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD,
thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
2 Tim 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable
for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
How do you get profit?
2 Tim 2:15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not
to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
All the Word of God is FOR US but not all is TO US.
Draw the BIBLE (times past, But Now & Age to Come)
The FACT is we have a BIBLE a completed BIBLE,
which now we can know
what is for the Heaven purpose & what is for the Earthly purpose.
In the Bible, there is Good News for people.
There was a gospel of the kingdom that was preach to those in
Time past that their salvation and hope was in a Kingdom on earth.
However, the gospel that saves US today is found in
1 Cor 15:1-8 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached
unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
1 Cor 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto
you, unless ye have believed in vain.
1 Cor 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how
that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1 Cor 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day
according to the scriptures:
1 Cor 15:5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
1 Cor 15:6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of
whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
1 Cor 15:7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
1 Cor 15:8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due
time.
The FACT: We have the scriptures and the Gospel for today. This is a great
start.
2) FAITH-n. [L. fides, fido, to trust; Gr. to persuade, to draw towards any
thing, to believe. to obey the truth of what God has revealed.
Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
In order to have FAITH, the faith of God what do you have to do?
Do you hear the words of Sport Illustrate magazine?
How about Fox News or Dr. Phil?
YOU have to HEAR the WORD of GOD
In Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the
gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed
with that holy Spirit of promise,
Eph 1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the
purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
What was the Gospel again Christ died, was bury & rose again.
Hebrews 11:6 Without faith it is impossible to please God.
By putting your faith in the scriptures & the gospel you then want to obedient
to the doctrine.
Rom 1:5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the
faith among all nations, for his name:
To THE faith that is the Body of Doctrine that we believed.
Not just any doctrine but SOUND doctrine that is set forth in Paul's epistles
for us today.
2 Cor 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own
selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye
be reprobates?
The Basis of Salvation in every Age is THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST
The means of salvation in every age is ALWAYS FAITH
The object of Faith is always GOD.
The content of Faith is always dependent upon THE PARTICULAR REVELATION GOD WAS
PLEASE TO GIVE AT A CERTAIN TIME
3) FRUIT- after you get the Facts and the Faith this is the product that it
should produce.
Mat 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism,
he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the
wrath to come?
Mat 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
Mat 3:10 And now also the ax is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every
tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Deu. 20:19 talks about cutting down tree that are not good
Before you got saved
Rom 6:21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for
the end of those things is death.
BUT NOW-
Rom 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have
your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
NOW- Rom 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the
body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised
from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
BEFORE-
Rom 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the
law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
NOW
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Eph 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and
truth;)
Eph 5:10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
THIS is not fruit as Peaches & Pears
BUT it is fruit of the Grace life coming forth and working for others to see
4) Feeling- one of the five senses.
It is by feeling we know that a body is hard
or soft, hot or cold, wet or dry,
rough or smooth. Excitement; emotion.
With what we laid out so far when it come to Feelings.
You should never allow this to dictate or run your Spiritual life.
That is why this is last and not first.
God through Paul said:
2 Tim 2:7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all
things.
Remember Paul said:
Eph 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk
not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
Eph 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God
through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
Eph 4:19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness,
to work all uncleanness with greediness.
You see you and I that are saved can & should walk by faith and not by sight or
feelings.
I believe that the majority of the churches today are putting Emotions 1st, then
faith, and the facts.
We are made up of a spirit, soul, and body.
DRAW 3 circles and shows how we are cut away from the body and we serve the
spirit.
Our emotions are now connecting to the Spirit and it is the Spirit of Christ in
you.
Phil 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and
rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust
of the flesh.
I know it is talking about the sinful flesh but cannot that run your spiritual
life.
The lost man is cut away from the spirit and serve the body Eph 2:1 And you hath
he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins:
The lost man motivation in his life begins in the body and it runs his the life
of his soul
However, the saved man’s motivation his life begins in the spirit and dominates
his life
There are people out there today are so mix up about this so let take the
knowledge that God gave us and help the lost become save and the save to come
the knowledge of the truth.
